Charity Setup
Charity Setup
Sovereign Management Services has been successfully helping charities register for nearly ten years. Care is taken to set up charities with the most appropriate structure to suit both their current needs and future development. Advice is provided every step of the way. We can often arrange a visit to you to explain the process in detail and answer any questions and issues that concern you.
Tried and tested governing documents are provided and these can be tailored to meet each charity’s particular needs. The simplest structure is that of a charitable trust where the trustees are the decision makers for the charity.
For charities wishing to own or lease buildings, employ staff or have contracts – then a charitable company represents the best option. This gives the charity “corporate entity” meaning that the charity, through the company format, can own title to property, employ staff, and enter into contracts etc rather than through the trustees as individuals. Trustees also benefit from limited liability.
