Governing Documents
Following implementation of the Companies Act 2006 and the Charities Act 2006, we recommend that charities review their governing documents.
It is best practice to review governing documents every three years. It is now possible to make a case to amend your “Objects” clause if this is out of date. There are also new powers of amendment available for charities.
If you are a charitable company, there are new provisions that will override what is in your Memorandum and Articles of Association.
We would be happy to provide you with a quote to review your governing document in light of the recent legislation.
